Nicole Junkermann presents Swarm – an NJF Capital investment

Nicole Junkermann, NJF Capital founder, presents Swarm Technologies.

Swarm Technologies is launching a satellite constellation that can provide internet access to 100% of the world for 10-100 times cheaper than incumbent satellite competitors. Swarm have invented ultra-light and ultra-small satellites, which make the launch economics very competitive. The company is initially targeting low-bandwidth use cases for Maritime, Agriculture, Network Extension and Global Development.

Space X’s recent missions have shown  that space has become affordable and accessible to private companies.

Following SpaceX, Swarm Technologies were named #2 in Fast Company’s 2020 list of most innovative space companies.

But instead of space travel, Swarm uses nanotechnology to help connect people in the remotest places on earth.

Swarm’s mission is to offer affordable global interconnectivity through low cost ‘grilled cheese sandwich-sized’ satellites.

By reducing the size and price of satellites, they can make data available to the two billion people who aren’t currently connected to the internet.

Not only will this benefit small businesses, but it will also offer cost-effective solutions in agriculture, transportation and emergency relief.
